Alessandro Zattoni is Professor of Corporate strategy and Corporate governance (2015-) at the Department of Business and Management of LUISS University in Rome. Before joining LUISS, he held faculty positions at Bocconi University of Milan and Parthenope University of Naples.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and received a PhD in Business Administration from Bocconi University. During his PhD, he spent one year at the Sol Snider Entrepreneurial Research Center, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. More recently, he has been Visiting Fellow at the School of Accountancy, Faculty of Business at the Queensland University of Technology and WIAS (Waseda Institute for Advanced Studies), Waseda University.
His major interest of research is corporate governance, with a focus on board of directors, governance codes, and sustainability. His publications appear in several journals including Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of World Business, Leadership Quarterly, British Journal of Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Corporate Governance: An International Review, Industrial and Corporate Change, Asia-Pacific Journal of Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Management and Governance.
He has been screening editor (2008-13) and co Editor-in-chief of Corporate Governance: An International Review (2013-18). He is currently an Advisory Board Member of CGIR (2019-), an Editorial Board Member of Journal of Management Studies (2012-) and a Consulting Editor of Journal of World Business (2019-). He has been the national representative (2012-15) and a member of the Scientific Council (2018-23) of EURAM, and he is a Fellow (2019-) and the President (2022-) of the same organization. He is a board member of the International Corporate Governance Society (ICGS) (November 2019-) and the former President of the Society (2020-2022). He is also a board member of Accademia Italiana di Economia Aziendale – AIDEA (2024-).
He has been the Director of the Strategic and Entrepreneurial Management Department (2009-2012) and the Director of the Open Enrolment Programs (2012-2015) of SDA Bocconi School of Management and so a member of the Faculty Committee and of the Executive Committee of the School. More recently, he has been the Associate Dean for executive education and life-long learning (2015-17) and a member of the Steering Committee of LUISS Business School (2015-17), and later the Dean and the Head of the Department of Business and Management of LUISS University in Rome (2017-24).

Prof. Simon Grima is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy, Professor and the Head of the Department of Insurance and Risk Management. Simon is also a Professor at the University of Latvia, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.
He served as President of the Malta Association of Risk Management (MARM) and of the Malta Association of Compliance Officers (MACO) between 2013 and 2015 and between 2016 and 2018, respectively. He has served as president of MARM since 2023. He is also a member of the Scientific Education Committee of the Federation of European Risk Managers (FERMA). He is a member of the Strategic Risk Leaders Association (SRLA), formerly the Public Risk Management Association (PRIMO). His research focuses on Governance, Regulations and Internal Controls, and he has over 35 years of experience in Financial Services, academia and public entities.
He has served as co-chair and is a member of the scientific program committee for several international conferences. He is a chief editor, editor, and review editor for some journals and book series. He has been awarded Outstanding Reviewer for the Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance in 2017 and 2022, and the Outstanding Author Contribution for the Book Series Contemporary Studies in Economic and Financial Analysis, Emerald Literati Awards in 2024. Moreover, Simon serves as an Independent Director for Financial Services Firms, sits on Risk, Compliance, Procurement, Investment, and Audit Committees, and performs duties as a Compliance Officer, Internal Auditor, and Risk Manager.
